This season I was lucky enough to go on tour of the Premier League training grounds for their press days. Filming the players and management as they finalise their preparation for the upcoming season. As we wait for the players, who can resist a quick kick about on these fancy pitches? Our work will be shown on BT Sports throughout the season. Look out for the bars of lights!

Tomb Raiding with Ant Middleton
A few, fun-filled days, were spent in beautiful Snowdonia with the Yogscast crew filming the latest Tomb Raider game promo. Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the latest in Laras origin story. These challenges were designed to put influencers through their paces. Taking them down mines, up mountains and through rapids. Ant Middleton was on hand to guide, advise and cajole these guys through it all. See the finished films here
Rainbow Valley, the quest for a TV
Spent an incredibly hot weekend near Llandeillo in Pembrokeshire gaffering for the very talented DoP, Dan Emmons. The short was set in a Tipi commune about a young boys quest to watch his favourite film. Written and directed by Miro Caminade, and starring some great young talent, this is definitely one to look out for.
A typically British feel good short that will surely lead to big things for the cast and director. In spite of the setting being unusual to the majority of people, the themes and characters are universal and will appeal to everyone. It also helped that the weather was stunning during filming, the horseflies not so much.
Swan Lane shot in 360vision, release date, soon.
The silly idea that Jack Offord and I had a year ago is now almost ready to be released. Developed alongside our four main cast members, Swan Lane is an immersive piece set in a car. Wherever you look something is happening.
Shot in a day near Winterbourne, South Glos, with an amazing cast and crew towards the end of April, we have since spent a few days attempting to stitch 360 footage and create a virtual sound space. Shot on an Insta360 Pro, kindly supplied by Richard Cambridge at Owl VR, we’ve rapidly learnt how to bumble our way around Mistika sufficiently to hopefully make this film look as good as the performances deserve.
Release date, TBC but soon…
Davinci resolve 14 with Korro Academy.
What better way to pass the tail end of winter than spending three days in Somerset near Frome attending the “Definitive guide to Davinci Resolve 14” with Ollie Kenchington of Korro Academy. Having dabbled with Davinci for its new editing platform for a few months, it was great getting to grips with all the other functions. Korro Academy do some great courses around most aspects of capture and delivery. As an Apple, Adobe and Davinci certified training centre they have post covered. Thanks to them, the Audio mixing and grading platforms now make a lot more sense. My latest showreel was cut, graded and exported purely on Davinci. Hopefully my first of many projects utilising this software. And the best bit? I have a certificate to prove that I am a “Davinci certified user!”
My Wonderful Life on Sky One
For the last few months of last year, I worked alongside DoP Simon Cox on Chalkboard TV‘s ambitious project, My Wonderful Life. Airing on Sky One on the 15th of February, this four part doc follows people with terminal illnesses. Each show concentrates on an individual in turn as they share their story. The main aim is to try and rid the stigma around death and open up an honest conversation. It is bold, unique and something I am incredibly proud to have worked on. It is emotional, but also incredibly heart warming and funny.
cLuMsY music video.
First music video of the year, and it was another collaboration with Reesy Films for the talented 6 piece reggae fusion group cLuMsY. Crammed into their rehearsal studio in Totterdown, we captured 3 live tracks for them to release later this year. The album will be released a track a month over a 12 month period. It is in the final mastering stages, to be released soon…
Stuck in a Cell with Shunk.
In January of this year, Shunk films took a minibus of us to shoot their latest B horror short, Cell, which is out now. Working alongside DoP Jon O’Neill, and Director Paul Holbrook, we spent a weekend in a Wetherspoons cellar shooting this homage to 80’s horror B movies. You never know where you’ll end up next when working with Shunk. Good times.
Still… Makes you jump!
A short Horror I worked on in April 2016 has done the festival circuit and is on general release. From the warped creative genius that is Oliver Park, and working again with DoP, Sarah Edwards, we had fun shooting this over a couple of weekends in Bath and Clevedon. Here’s Still!
Worlds Fastest Gamer
Working with Oscar winning DoP, Michael Palaeodimos, at McLaren HQ for a couple of weeks in November filming the Worlds Fastest Gamer. Unbelievable opportunity to work with such a talented and great guy as Michael, surrounded by F1 cars driven by multiple championship winning drivers. Full length shows to follow, but the highlights can be found here.
